Overview

The striking modern architectural form of the Pavilhão do Conhecimento makes this Pavilion of Knowledge easy to locate in Lisbon’s Park of Nations along the left bank of the Tagus River.

Originally built as part of Expo 1998, it took on its new role as an interactive museum of science and technology the following year.

The superb facility aims to catch the attention of every visitor, both young and old. It does this through clever use of dynamic technology and multimedia, all with intention of improving insight into this fascinating field.

The displays help to explain how we use technology in many different ways in practically every facet of daily life.

Many of the world’s leading scientific institutions acknowledge the important role that the Pavilhão do Conhecimento makes. On-going contributions received from these august bodies create thrilling new displays and exhibits throughout the year. This all adds to the magic of finding something new and relevant, every time you visit.
